Delicate Transience

A richly textured floral composition featuring a blooming flower in deep magenta, crimson, and soft pink tones. Set against an abstract background of layered blues, yellows, and greens, the piece combines delicate washes of color with bold, expressive brushstrokes. Hand-sewn beads at the center of the flower replicate the appearance of pollen, adding intricate detail and dimension to the composition.

Originally created using magazine imagery adhered to canvas, the background was painted with diluted acrylics to create translucent layers of color, while the flower was developed using opaque acrylic paint. Individually hand-sewn beads complete the original mixed-media artwork, which has been reproduced as a fine art print while preserving its visual texture and detail.
